“You may think I’m small, but I have a universe inside my mind.” Yoko Ono
A Parallel Universe is a Universe much like ours that coexists at the same time; a Multi-Universe, also known as, a Multi-Verse is where various realities can exist; an Alternate Universe is a Universe, where you could be living an opposite life of which you are living now. An alternate reality, is a self-contained, and separate reality that co-exists with our own realities; Meta Universes are said to exist very close to our Universe, and the ghosts that people claim to see, are actually people from alternate realities that somehow slip through and into ours, from both the past and future.
Quantum Physics has made discoveries in the theory of Multi-Universes. A group of scientists in California, claim that a quantum state is now observable with the human eye, and that time-travel could be possible. This discovery occurred in the UCSB, by Professor of Physics, Andrew Cleland, and his team. They believe that an object which can be seen in front of you can also exist simultaneously in a parallel Universe, or in a multi-state condition, and some scientists theorize, this can permit time travel.
Dr. Cleland’s team took a small metal paddle, which is about the width of a human hair, and cooled it in a refrigerator, to reach its quantum mechanical ground state, which is the lowest-energy state permitted by quantum mechanics. The lights were dimmed, and a special bell jar was also used to draw out all of the air, which eliminates vibrations. Then a vibrating device was made, that looks like a tiny drum, and used a very high oscillation speed, of over 6 billion oscillations per second. This experiment signifies that the researchers achieved “quantum control” over the apparatus.
Therefore, Dr. Cleland’s experiment heralded making something previously invisible to the human eye, visible. “When you observe something in one state, one theory is, that it splits the universe into two parts,” said Dr. Cleland, when trying to explain how there can be Multiple Universes, and we can see only one of them.
The Multi-Universe Theory is that the entire Universe freezes during observation and that is why we only see one reality.
Physicist Sean Carroll, from the California Institute of Technology, accepts the scientific theory of the Multi Universe, even though it has not yet been proven. “Unless you can imagine some super-advanced alien civilization that has figured this out, we aren’t affected by the possible existence of other universes,” Dr. Carroll said. However, he does think, “someone could devise a machine that lets one Universe communicate with another.”
Dr. Carroll suggests that we don’t exactly feel time, and that simply we perceive its passing. “For example, time moves fast on a rollercoaster and very slowly during a boring lecture. It races when you’re late for work, but the last few minutes before quitting time seem like hours.”
Time is the focal point.
Theoretical Physicist Fred Alan Wolf, also known as, Dr. Quantum says, “Time seems to be a one-way street that runs from the past to the present.” “But take into consideration theories that look at the level of quantum fields, particles that travel both forward and backward in time. If we leave out the forward and backwards-in-time part, we miss out on some of the physics.”
Dr. Wolf believes that in Quantum Mechanics, time doesn’t move in a straight line, that instead it curves. He believes that it may be possible to build a time machine in which time can be bent.
Quantum physicists have made discoveries which lead them to believe that there is more than one Universe, and that we constantly interact with many of these “hidden Universes.”
Scientists believe that there may be Parallel Universes, and that we live in one of them. They also theorize that the other Universes contain space, time, strange forms of exotic matter and that some of these Universes may even contain one of each of us, however, in a different form. They also theorize that these Universes exist less than one millimeter away from us, and that our gravity is simply a weak signal leaking out of another Universe and into ours.
Stanford University is researching the “Inflation Theory,” which supports the idea of Parallel Universes. These other worlds would be physically the same as ours, but would instead contain different paths. This means that for everything that has happened throughout history, there is also an alternate ending that has also already occurred simultaneously.
Some individuals claim to have visited Parallel Universes by using meditative states. Then possibly psychics come up with predictions using this same venue, to be able to predict upcoming situations.
“Quantum Jumping,” is basically the process of using your mind, to jump into parallel dimensions, and gain skills, knowledge, insights, information, and wisdom from an alternate version of yourself, and also specific information on how you can change your life, in this Universe, and make it better, like in your alternate Universe.
To achieve Quantum Jumping, you would need to use an advanced visualization technique, and envision yourself jumping into alternate Universes, and then communicating with your Doppelganger.
Some individuals who practice Quantum Jumping claim that they have picked up new skills like composing music, painting pictures just like the masters, playing musical instruments, receiving information to make decisions that have changed their lives, found inspiration to make their careers better, and so forth.
Theoretical scientists already believe that space-time is pixilated, or grainy. Craig Hogan, a particle astrophysicist of Fermilab, says, “Being in the [holographic] universe is like being in a 3D movie.” “On a large-scale, it looks smooth and three-dimensional, but if you get close to the screen, you can tell that it is flat and pixilated.”
The readings from a sensitive motion-detector in Hanover, Germany which detects ripples in the fabric of space-time called the GEO6000 experiment in 2008 were found to look grainy. This supported the evidence that the Universe is really a “hologram.” Dr. Hogan’s wide-ranging contributions to the field include the co-discovery of ‘dark energy.’
Theoretical Physicist Michio Kaku, also believes in multiple Universes. The discovery was made when physicists were trying to determine the exact location of an atomic particle, and found this impossibility. The atomic particle had no single location, meaning that atomic particles have the ability to exist in more than one place at a time. The explanation for this is that particles don’t only exist in “our” Universe. Thus, meaning that the particles can spark into existence in an infinite number of Parallel Universes.
Dr. Kaku thinks our universe will end in a “big freeze.” However, unlike many physicists, Dr. Kaku thinks we might be able to avoid this fate by slipping into a Parallel Universe. “The Human Species Will One Day Migrate to a Parallel Universe”
What if everything around us is an illusion or a hologram, including ourselves, and all is simply a projection from another Universe or Parallel Universe? I realize that most of these concepts sounds like something out of the movie “The Matrix,” however, are the general concepts in the movie so far-fetched.
“I often think that we are like the carp swimming contentedly in that pond. We live out our lives in our own “pond,” confident that our universe consists of only the familiar and the visible. We smugly refuse to admit that parallel universes or dimensions can exist next to ours, just beyond our grasp. If our scientists invent concepts like forces, it is only because they cannot visualize the invisible vibrations that fill the empty space around us. Some scientists sneer at the mention of higher dimensions because they cannot be conveniently measured in the laboratory.” Michio Kaku
At the heart of science is an essential balance between two seemingly contradictory attitudes–an openness to new ideas, no matter how bizarre or counterintuitive they may be, and the most ruthless skeptical scrutiny of all ideas, old and new. This is how deep truths are winnowed from deep nonsense. Carl Sagan
“The reason why the universe is eternal is that it does not live for itself; it gives life to others as it transforms.” Lao Tzu
“…in an infinite universe, anything that could be imagined might somewhere exist.” Dean Koontz
