“Nothing in this world was more difficult than love.” ― Gabriel García Márquez
Relationships of all kinds are tricky to balance, and difficult to maintain. Poems, sonnets, songs, odes, and books have all been written on the subject; however, there are no precise clarifications to resolve all of the different dilemmas within the topic of Love.
Men complain that women are complicated and difficult to understand, and women complain that men are complex and uncommunicative. Read the rest of this entry »

“Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
“By being armed, but with no weapons, great battles may be won.” The Tao of Te Ching Lao-tzu
The Second Amendment in our Constitution is archaic, and not relevant in this century. Yet, everyone everywhere is quoting American’s rights to bear arms. The reason the Second Amendment was written in 1790, was to prevent the new Federal Government that had been established in 1789 from disarming the state militia, and replacing said militia with a Federal army. The Second Amendment is a remnant of our founding fathers from two centuries ago, whose purpose has long since been served, and no longer serves America.

Does God really exist or is he just a reproduction from various mythological figures? The Christian God appears to have similarities with the Greek God Zeus, the Norse God Odin, the Roman God Jupiter, the Egyptian God Ra, the Native American Gods that come by many names, and there are also Sumerian Gods, Celtic Gods, Germanic, Hindu, and Asian Gods.
Will the real “God” please stand up!
The Christian God seems to be jealous, petty, angry, violent, unloving, and unforgiving; he causes devastation on whim, and yet he is made to seem moralistic and benevolent at the same time. Why the disparity? Christians believe that only God can provide morality, and that God is necessary to provide moral values and guidance to his human subjects.
Since “God” made man in his image, then it is logical to speculate that “God” also has all of the human tendencies of man and woman, just like the Mythological Gods.
Moreover, why call it Greek Mythology, and the Christian religion, well a religion? Read the rest of this entry »

Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age. Sometimes, age just shows up by itself. Tom Wilson

Andy Warhol’s theory that everyone will have his or her 15 minutes of fame is proving correct. However, had he lived longer, he might have changed that to “infamy” instead.
It seems like reality shows abound, every other channel has one, be it music, talent, or unknown people acting crazy, and becoming rich and famous because of their antics, and what do we care about how complete strangers act and live – apparently plenty! How is it possible that these are the highest rated television shows? Whatever happened to informative shows, and clean comedy? Read the rest of this entry »

“You may think I’m small, but I have a universe inside my mind.” Yoko Ono
A Parallel Universe is a Universe much like ours that coexists at the same time; a Multi-Universe, also known as, a Multi-Verse is where various realities can exist; an Alternate Universe is a Universe, where you could be living an opposite life of which you are living now. An alternate reality, is a self-contained, and separate reality that co-exists with our own realities; Meta Universes are said to exist very close to our Universe, and the ghosts that people claim to see, are actually people from alternate realities that somehow slip through and into ours, from both the past and future.
Quantum Physics has made discoveries in the theory of Multi-Universes. A group of scientists in California, claim that a quantum state is now observable with the human eye, and that time-travel could be possible. This discovery occurred in the UCSB, by Professor of Physics, Andrew Cleland, and his team. They believe that an object which can be seen in front of you can also exist simultaneously in a parallel Universe, or in a multi-state condition, and some scientists theorize, this can permit Read the rest of this entry »

“My life often seemed to me like a story that has no beginning and no end. I had the feeling that I was a historical fragment, an excerpt for which the preceding and succeeding text was missing. I could well imagine that I might have lived in former centuries and there encountered questions I was not yet able to answer; that I had been born again because I had not fulfilled the task given to me.” Carl Jung
What is reincarnation?
Reincarnation is the concept of life after death. It is the belief that after a biological death, the soul, or spirit, returns to Earth, and once again begins a new life, in a new body, and with a new set of circumstances. It is the belief that we all go through a series of lifetimes for the purpose of spiritual growth and soul development. That the past provided a foundation of potential and probability and that an individual’s choices, actions, and free will in the present incarnation or that the soul is experiencing, are the consequences of its previous choices, also called karma, and this determines the experiences that will be lived in the present incarnation. Ex-nihilo is a Latin word which means nothing comes from nothing, ex meaning out of, and nihil meaning nothing.
After viewing Stephen Hawking’s The Grand Design, I felt confounded, and began to ponder about many things. One question in particular that formed in my mind was, why do we surround ourselves with luxuries and quest to amass so many things throughout our lifetimes, imperialize other nations, start wars and conflicts, engage in higher learning, reproduce, own pets, and so forth, only to meet up with an inevitable ending, and leave them all behind anyway – what’s the point. The answer may be that everyone is trying to create some semblance of permanence and stability, in a most changeable and unstable environment. Read the rest of this entry »
